Skate4Cancer In New Zealand & Australia: Press Release
Originating in 2004, Skate4Cancer is a not for profit grassroots organization that raises awareness of cancer, primarily targeting a youth demographic. We operate by skateboarding the width or length of a country (whichever is longest) in order to draw attention to our cause. Once that is accomplished, we promote a variety of campaigns that focus on healthy and preventative lifestyles ranging from self-breast examinations to healthy eating.
After covering the majority of North America, we’ve decided to take on the world. Beginning in early January, we’ll be skating from Auckland to Dunedin. That means skateboarding the entire distance between the two cities, along the winding New Zealand roads. After that, we head to Australia to face one of the biggest challenges yet! Skating downunder in the heat of the Aussy sun, and facing off against every obstacle the infamous continent is famous for.
